Back in mid 2012, I still did not have a smartphone or a phone service with Internet data. I had been using a non-smartphone all along with a SIM card and I was unable to store lots of songs and other data like photos and videos.
Most of my friends already had a smartphone, some even with data plans. I decided to pray to God to grant me a Samsung phone that can store a lot of data; I won't mind if i didn't have 3G. I told God that if I had a Samsung phone, I would download more Christian songs and worship God with it in my free time.
After a few weeks, my father got an extra Samsung Note 1 with his company's corporate plan, equipped with a 3G data plan. In the end, my father didn't really like his extra phone so he gave it to me. It was suppose to be his spare phone but somehow it became mine.
I was shocked during that moment that a prayer like that about material wealth was just answered. To be honest, I would be completely okay with God did not answered this prayer. Our God has and will not fail to surprise to us. Sometimes, if we have pure motives, if it is within God's plan, I believe that God would answer that prayer.

Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." As this verse goes, as you seek God with a sincere heart and pure motives, as long as it is within His plans for you, He will answer your request in one way or another.
